Chapter 13
a/n: sorry I haven’t updated in a while. Writers block I swear! But here it is! The long awaited Chapter 13! Please tell me what you think! It motivates me to write (:
And it’s like the whole world had stopped around Harry. The beating of his heart as the cold air of the bar clung to his skin. He felt the hairs on his arms and legs stand up immediately as he watched the air flow through Louis. Charlie even was on edge, hearing the burst throughout the bar. Everybody was still waiting for Louis’ announcement. By then, Louis was looking around, meeting everybody in the eye before catching his breath.

Summary: His heart ached as he remembered the pictures the dotted the fireplace, full of memories and laughter. Every time he stepped forward another snippet of memory flooded through him.

Summary: Louis just glimpsed at the sunset golden hair, the cerulean blue eyes, and the red cheeks, before his boiling blood, was gentle and calm again.
Chapter Twelve
They arrived to the field and Harry felt his heart racing as he saw the trees lining the side of it. He opened his door and got out, his breathing uneven. His feet carried him around to the other side of the car, where Niall intertwined his fingers with Harry’s.
Niall felt his cheeks redden as Harry squeezed his hand as they trekked through the field. He could feel the beat in Harry’s hand and it quickened the closer they got to where the picture was taken. Niall felt his eyes close and let Harry guide him. He pleaded to God that he wouldn’t have to see another dead body.
God really hated Niall lately.
There were two bodies laying next to each other, and Harry choked out a sob, “That’s Andy.”
Niall glanced quickly at which one Harry was pointing at. The bones were dry and brittle with a ripped white shirt and a pair of jeans that were barely there. The hands and feet were still missing and on top of his skull were a few strands of hair that had turned white. Next to him was who Niall assumed was Claire. She was redressed in the dress that she wore in the picture Zayn showed them just the night before. Her bones seemed more fragile and more broken.
“We have to go tell their families,” Harry finally spoke up.
“What if he takes their bodies again?” Niall’s eyes flickered from the bodies to the car.
“Good point. I’ll call Louis,” Harry pulled out his phone and dialed the brunette’s phone number quickly.
“Did you guys go to the field?” he answered quickly.
“Yeah, can you get Claire’s family out here? I’ll call Mrs. Samuels. We don’t want to leave just in case he takes their bodies again,” Harry sighed into the phone.
“Got it,” and at that Louis hung up. Harry’s hands shakingly dialed a number he never thought he’d have to call with such news.

Once the bodies were taken back into town and the two got to Charlie’s, Harry’s eyes settled on Daniel who was talking to somebody somberly. Harry couldn’t see who it was, but he found himself walking towards them.
“Patricia!” his eyes widened at the sight of the girl they had seen yesterday.
“Hey!” she choked up on her water a little bit and smiled at the two boys.
“What are you doing down here?” Harry regretted asking the question as soon as he said it.
“Mrs. Samuels gave me a ride down here when she came for Andy. Zayn too huh?” Patricia pulled her long blonde hair over her shoulder and sighed, “You think they’re targeting us?”
“Maybe,” Niall jumped in, “Maybe they’re just killing freely and they chose your group.”
“Nah, nobody who has this specific way of killing just chooses randomly,” Harry shook his head.
“Did you guys know anybody who was bitter towards you or something?” Niall asked Patricia and Daniel.
“No,” Daniel croaked.
“You okay man?” Niall put a hand on his shoulder. Harry tensed beside him so Niall dropped his hand.
“Zayn and I hung out a lot when we were working of the sorts. Whenever we had to get supplies for here before, we’d go together in Liam’s car, so we were kind of close. You know how close to people can get on the drive up to Greig,” Daniel sniffed as Harry caught Niall’s eye and try to pass him a quick smirk.
“I’m so sorry man,” Harry grimaced as he looked back at Daniel.
“No, it’s okay. I mean, at least I didn’t find the body,” Daniel shot back at Harry with a devilish smile that even made Harry’s heart thump.
“That was cold,” Niall chuckled along with Harry.
“Humor’s my way out,” Daniel shrugged as he slid into the booth next to Patricia. Harry and Niall slid in opposite them.
“I never got your names,” she tucked a piece of hair behind her head.
“I’m Harry. This is Niall,” Harry gestured towards the blonde as he waved shortly at her.
“So are you going to be staying for a while?” Niall asked.
“I think so,” she nodded. Suddenly, Louis burst through the doors, breathing out of control, and sauntered quickly over to the table they were at.
“I have news,” he huffed out quickly.
